Self-care doesn’t always require extra time or money. Self-care means choosing what is best for your future self. It starts with building a routine of habits that will benefit your mental, emotional, and physical health.
Nourishing my body through food, exercise, and sleep is self-care I never compromise on. The best part is that these things don’t come with a high price tag.

Start with a healthy breakfast
Move your body for 20 minutes
Make your bed
Stay hydrated and refill your water bottle often
Call a friend
Plant something
Eat a green vegetable at every meal (broccoli, spinach, kale, Brussels sprouts, avocado, or green beans, etc.)
Have a cup of hot tea
Watch the sunset (or sunrise)
Write down three things you’re grateful for
Write down three things you want to accomplish that day
Make a Pinterest board of your dream home or dream vacation
Write a letter to a friend or family member
Draw something
Take a walk
Do some yoga
Go to bed an hour earlier than usual
Read a magazine
Try meditating for five minutes
Take a long shower or bath
Silence your phone for an hour or two
Listen to a Podcast
Start a new book
Go through old photos and reminisce about positive memories from a past trip
Journal for ten minutes about anything on your mind that day
